Update for Dr. Dixit’s Patient
Dear Patients,
I hope you had a pleasant Easter weekend with your loved ones. I am writing to inform you that I will be on personal leave from April 20 to June 5, 2026. Please be assured that this is a temporary leave, and I look forward to returning to my practice at Woodbridge Medical Centre Family Health Team and resuming your care upon my return.
During my absence, Dr. Maleenie Sharma will be providing your ongoing care. Our team will ensure a smooth transition so that your medical needs continue to be fully supported.
Dr. Maleenie Sharma is certified by both the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the American Board of Family Medicine. She has been practicing Family Medicine in a team-based setting since 2021.Originally from Ontario, she completed her medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine and her residency at the Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program in Ohio. She then practiced as a full-time academic physician, providing comprehensive care while teaching residents and medical students. Dr. Sharma has additional training in medical education, leadership, and quality improvement, and has held leadership roles in clinical and quality management. She has recently returned to Ontario and is passionate about delivering preventive, holistic care and supporting strong, healthy communities. She is excited to have the opportunity to serve the patients of Woodbridge Medical Centre.
Dr. Sharma’s Availability:
- Tuesday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Thursday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
All appointments will remain as scheduled, and no action is required on your part. If you would like to cancel or reschedule any appointment you have booked, please visit the Patient Portal https://portal.healthmyself.net/wmcfht#/ or contact the office at 905-893-8085.
As patients you will be able to book an appointment online through the Portal or call the office to schedule your appointment. As enrolled patients, you will continue to have access to our family physicians through the 7 days a week walk-in and after hours care. Additionally, many of you are already familiar with our nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacist, dietician and mental health team. The option to see these professionals remains open to you.
I recognize the impact this may have on you and your family, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience my absence may cause. Thank you for your understanding and continued trust. I look forward to returning in June to continue providing your care.
