Dear Patients,

I will be on maternity leave effective January 22, 2025.   During my absence, Dr. Alessandro Volpe will be overseeing your care from February 3, 2025, to October 31, 2025. Rest assured; I will be returning to my practice as of November 3, 2025.

Dr. Volpe was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He completed a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Science (Sp. Hons. BSc) in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. He then completed both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and his Family Medicine residency training at the University of Toronto. Since completing residency, he has worked at various family practice offices and urgent-care clinics. He is excited to work as part of the WMC FHT and serve the local community.

Dr. Volpe will be taking over my schedule, and all current appointments will continue as planned.  There will be no change to any scheduled appointments you currently have booked. All appointments will be seen by Dr. Volpe and no action is required by you.  If you would like to cancel or reschedule any appointment you have booked, please visit the Patient Portal https://portal.healthmyself.net/wmcfht#/ or contact the office at 905-893-8085.

Dr. Volpe will be available:

Monday            9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Tuesday           4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Wednesday     9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Thursday         9:00 am – 4:00 pm

As patients you will be able to book an appointment online through the Portal or call the office to schedule your appointment.  As enrolled patients, you will continue to have access to our family physicians through the 7 days a week walk-in and urgent care services.  Additionally, many of you are already familiar with our nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacist, dietician and mental health team.  The option to see these professionals remains open to you.
